 | 1. Wireframe...The storyboard for your new websiteONWEB begins by asking questions regarding the structure and goals of your new website. We then launch a development website where authorized contributors will collaborate. We focus on the wireframes, key pages and the website map to establish how web visitors will be interacting with the data. The development and theming of the website will be based on this primary architecture. Wireframes are key components of the Drupal development process because they allow both the client and our Drupal development team to visualize the structure of the website. | |
 | 2. Development...Making your website COME ALIVE with programmingDepending on your website requirements, we may need to install and/or customize contributed Drupal Software Modules. As of October 2009, there are over 9,390 different web software modules ONWEB can plug into your website. In the last year the number of modules has grown by 408%! A software module could range from forums to e-Commerce. As much as possible we use prebuilt modules developed and tested through the Open-Source community. Using prebuilt modules means ONWEB does far less bug fixing. This part of the Drupal development process creates the framework for the database functionalities of your website. | |

Theming...What your website is going to look likeA theme in Drupal is what your site looks like, including the size of content and feature areas, colours, fonts, etc. There are literally hundreds of prebuilt themes that have been tested by the Drupal Open-Source community which is over 300,000 members strong. Drupal does a great job of separating your website content from how it is presented through the use of Cascading Style Sheets. At the click of a button you can switch from one theme to another. This will save you a tremendous amount of time down the road by not needing to reinsert your content when changing the look of your site. We specialize in taking prebuilt and tested Search Engine Optimizing (SEO) themes; we then modify the styles to match your company branding to save you time and money. This provides you with a high level of control over each portion of your website. Depending on where the visitor goes in your site, ONWEB can change any part of your theme and/or layout making parts of your site unique relative to the rest of the site. The theming process will finalize the look and feel of the site as we move through the next stages of the Drupal development process. | |
 | 4. Quality Assurance...Actual testing by a human beingONWEB ensures that every website we develop is thoroughly tested in the most common internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari). Our Quality Assurance process involves having a human extensively test every part of your new website to ensure all the software modules are functional, and that the theme is displaying correctly. After we have your final approval the next step is to do a backup of the whole site and then launch it under your root domain. All further editing of your site will then be done on the live website. | |
 | 5. Maintenance...Now that you have your fancy new website, what next?ONWEB provides ongoing maintenance and coaching after the launch of your new website. Our Monthly Plans include continuous upgrading / monitoring of the site, as well as training authorized people how to best edit your site from a SEO perspective. This ensures your website will continually grow and evolve with the latest technology. If the organic search engine listings are not delivering enough traffic to your website, we can discuss pay per click advertising campaigns. There is only a limited amount of WebMASTER time available so make sure you secure your timeslot to get the most out of your website. | |
