We've been in the digital publishing game long enough to have a fair amount of the questions figured out but still get excited by new technology.
About 1/3 of the sites in our client portfolio are done by other graphic designers with ONWEB's consultation. The sites we build may contain any combination of the following: Text, Graphics, Audio, Video, Flash and Databases all tastefully constructed and animated where appropriate. If you have a designer in which you love their touch, GREAT then ONWEB will collaborate with them to help create your theme. Your designer needs to supply us with Illustrator & or Photoshop files. From these files we can complete the production work of getting your site online in a professional manner that can evolve over time.

At ONWEB we use Open Source Software when ever possible to increase reliability and decrease total cost of ownership. The content management systems we develop are engineered to live in enterprise scale databases with PHP server scripting running on Linux servers.
Think of us as your Internet Consultants which specialize in web publishing tools for business. Our goal is to create great sites that can be easily administered by other people. Within 1 traning session you can have the power to edit your own content with unheard ease that did not exist before the WEB 2.0 revolution.
The amount of software modules we can now depoly on your site is over 2,359 modules as of Oct 2007 and growing. How much does it cost?
At ON we are conscious of cost so we like to be as upfront as possible. We provide web publishing tools, customized components and our creative talents in producing digital media. There are some fixed costs but mostly what we provide is our experience. Below are some examples of typical website packages, however, we are always ready to work with you to build on or off any of these guidelines to meet your individual needs.
Guideline Packages
$ 150 ~ Basic Web Hosting for One Year
Hosted on a large server farm with 24 7 support. With the hosting package we offer you have as many email addresses as you would like. We can also register your domain for you. The current market rate is $15 to register for 1 year.$ 788 ~ Starter Package
1 year of web hosting, ONWEB's basic flavour of drupal, minimal theme work, a live training session.
$ 2250 ~ Import an existing website
1 year of web hosting, create navigation structure for >30 nodes, moderate theme work, small amount of Photoshop work.$ 6500 ~ Large Site or Revamp an existing site.
1 year of web hosting, create navigation structure for >150 nodes, extensive theme work with custom flash components where appropriate & some video work.

We have some clients that request custom work. The varitey of custom things ONWEB does can range from Optimizing your images for the web, animated 3D logos, trade show powerpoint, posting your video clip from a TV Station that aired a segment about your business to virtually any business related web software application that will run ONWEB's current server spec.$ 500 ~ Basic Branding Package
Includes the creation of a company logo in vector, high and web resolution jpgs.
Branding can easily become and endless process and as such from the artists perspective we expect 3 rounds of revisions based an extensive interview process to start. You can add a print layout package for an additional $350 that includes up to 4 individualized business cards, envelope and letterhead. Printing costs are extra and depend on volume.We have industry relationships that can save you money on your printing needs.
Payment Schedule & Copyright
ONWEB's payment schedule will always be based on completing siginficant milestones in the project. Typically ONWEB requires 1/2 deposit for any new client depending on the amount of work to be done. After we have an established working relationship ONWEB will bill the client on a monthly basis for any hourly work that was requested by the client.
We accept credit cards, bank transfers, debit cards, and more...The typical cost of our sites ranges from $788 - $5000 depending on the number of web software modules, the complexity of the site and or flash animation.
Graphics, text and the contents of the database(s) produced for our clients are considered the clients property. ALL Source files created for the client will be delivered to the client for backup purposes on an external hard drive supplied by the client. There are no ongoing liscensing fees from open-source software configured by ONWEB. We do suggest to all our new clients that they negotiate a monthly or quarterly scheduled maintenance contract. Having interaction with us on a regular basis after the innitial push ensures your website will remain in top condition and recieve a speedy turnaround from us.
If no monthly mentor package is negotiated all future charges will occur only when the client requests modifications or updates. The full time required to complete the task will be billed at our current hourly rate ($75/hr). All new work will be started as per our current job que. The job que length of time varies but typically it is 1-4 weeks depending on the time of year.
