Logo Creation and Branding

What makes a company attractive to its customers? Is it the people, the products, where the service is delivered or is it a combination of all those plus great graphics & packaging. Branding in the 21st century is critical to customer recognition and initiating a buying cycle. Using ONWEB's Fine Art and Graphic Design training from Emily Carr and the latest digital production tools we can create a branding package that represents your company or organization. When thinking of new branding people will often freak out and wonder how and what they should change. Often a blended approach that takes elements of old branding and comes up with something inovative is the best course of action.

Digital Photography

Some of our clients have great digital photography images when they come to us and others do not. If you need new images ONWEB can help with the capture process and (or) help with the art direction of composing the image(s). We use a professional camera and lenses to get the best possible results.

Getting the image on the camera is only the first part of a process that most commercial photos go through if they are going to live on the world wide web. Many years ago... in a darkroom in the process of developing prints could be manipulated by playing with the exposure timing, colour shifts and time in the processing chemicals. Now most images are processed through photoshop and the output is off a digital printer from a print house or via the world wide web.

We are experts in photoshop compression technology to get great looking images while maintaining a reasonable download. Look at the header for examples of our photography skills.

Video Capture and Production

How long do you think that it takes the average web surfer to read a thousand words? Video displays 30 image frames per second and has synchronized audio tracks. The reason television is so popular is the ease for humans to consume the information. After 2 minutes of viewing you can easily become immersed in another time and space. Your corporate video many not emotionally stir someone but it will inform your web visitor unlike any other medium.

Capturing your video is about 1/4 of the way to seeing it on your website. Video production is the art of taking the raw high quality video footage and slicing out all of the boring parts, making "adjustments" to the video, sequencing the remaining parts, adding soundtracks, transitions and title elements. Production will account for about 1/2 of the project.

After a high quality source video is prepared comes the compression part which is about the last 1/4. Feel confident you are choosing ONWEB for your video. We use the same video compression codex(s) used to produce big name movie trailers. ON can compress to virtually any output format but perfer to use streaming flash video files or .mpg or the new Video iPod standard.

If you have existing video/audio content ONWEB can use your high quality originals (or low quality compressed vesions) to put your company content on the web. Compression rates for the videos ONWEB does vary depending on your requirements. When looking at the output file we like to see a nice balance between looking visually correct, sounding ok and downloading at a reasonable rate. Size savings can also be made when using mono vs stereo sound.
